Description

What are HDPE bags?

High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Bags are heavy duty industrial packaging bags which have high chemical resistance, high mechanical strength, low water absorption and high structural flexibility.

They are widely used in industrial processes where there is a need for the use of a material which is light in weight but has good puncture resistance and impact strength. HDPE bags have good performance in tough commercial environments like exposure to alkali, acids, and industrial chemicals. The bags are best suited for grain storage, cement packaging and transporting bulk materials.

Available HDPE Bag Types

Virgin HDPE Bags

Made from 100% virgin high density polyethylene resin, which provides superior material strength and consistency.

HDPE Reprocessed Sacks

Bags made of high-quality recycled Polyethylene. Ideal for industrial non-critical waste collection, rubble sorting and scrap handling.

UV Stabilized HDPE Bags

Engineered using the latest in ultraviolet stabilizers, and carbon black for long-term exposure.

Sacks in Colored HDPE

Available in multiple corporate colours for easy identification of industrial assets and specific application requirements.

HDPE bags that are laminated or sift-proof

To safely contain ultrafine powders, an additional lamination layer and enhanced moisture barrier is required.

HDPE Bag Sizes and Capacities

HDPE bags are available in various standard as well as customized styles.

  • Standard Commercial 4x8 Layout Sizes
  • Custom Cut HDPE Bags with Open Mouth
  • Industrial Manufacturing Ship Sacks
  • Heavy Duty Sand Bags and Gusseted Bags
  • The lightest weight flexible sheet inserts and liners
  • Woven HDPE Roll Form Fabric (on request basis)

Custom sizes, custom weave weights and loop configurations are also available as per requirements.

HDPE Bag Manufacturing Process

Singhal Industries Private Limited manufactures premium HDPE woven bag under automated quality control using circular looms and advanced extrusion lines.

  • Step 1: Raw Choice: Polyethylene resins of very HQ and density are chosen.
  • Step 2: Extrusion and Slitting of Films: The raw materials will be melted and then treated using the extrusion machines in order to form thin films. This film will then be slit into tapes.
  • Step 3: Circular Loom Weaving: The drawn tape yarns are interlocked closely on the heavy duty circular loom to create continuous woven tubular fabric rolls.
  • Step 4: Calibration & Lamination: Chill rollers carry the woven fabric through a process that fixes its size stability, after which hot-melt lamination is applied so the material can withstand moisture.
  • Step 5: Quality Testing: Every production batch undergoes detailed testing to ensure that it meets the accuracy of gauge thickness, seam burst drop strength, flexibility and chemical resistance standards.
  • Step 6: Fabrication & Dispatch: After finishing, the bags are cut to shape, the bottom is stitched in two lines, customized text is printed, and all units are packed securely for global shipment.

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q1: How are HDPE bags used?

HDPE bags can be found in many applications, including chemical packaging, agricultural grain collection, construction sandbags and mining logistics.

Q2: Can HDPE bags be heated?

HDPE bags are highly stable at normal ambient temperatures and offer moderate heat resistance. However, they have a lower threshold thermal than PP bags.

Q3: Can HDPE bags be used for chemical-resistant products?

Our HDPE bags are resistant to acids, alkalis and other chemicals, as well as aggressive soil salts.

Q4: Are HDPE bags easy to sew and print?

The woven high density polyethylene fabric is able to be cut smoothly, double stitched for added strength at the seams, and printed in high contrast flexographic markings.

Q5: Can HDPE bags be used in the rain?

HDPE resin is almost completely water-proof, and the fabric has a high level of resistance to moisture. An internal PE liner, or an external lamination, can be used to achieve complete water isolation and sift proof powder storage.

Q6: What is the distinction between HDPE bags and PP bags?

HDPE bags are better in regard to their resistance to impact, punctures, and use outdoors, particularly in cold weather. PP bags are stiffer and resistant to high temperatures.

Q7: Can I get custom HDPE Bags?

Our bags can be customized according to your wishes in regard to length, thickness of mesh gauge and color.

Q8: Are HDPE bags recyclable?

High-density Polyethylene is a thermoplastic polymer which is 100% recyclable. This allows used sacks to be reprocessed to secondary industrial utility.

Q9: Which industries have adopted the usage of HDPE bags?

The use of HDPE bags is widespread in the civil construction industry, agriculture, and chemical manufacturing and packaging logistics.

Q10: Which is the ideal thickness and weight for an HDPE bag?

The appropriate pallet would depend on the total weight of the products, mechanical stress during handling, moisture from the environment, and vertical height of the stacks.

Q11: Is it possible for moisture/water to cause rotting of HDPE?

The High-Density Polyethylene material is not prone to any form of water degradation. It neither rots nor molds and is pest resistant.

Q12: Are HDPE sacks employed for organic food crops recyclable?

Reprocessing of HDPE sacks is good for less sensitive uses like cleaning construction sites, waste disposal, or rubble transfer. When it comes to food-grade crops, our sacks made of virgin polymers guarantee their purity.

Q13: Will the HDPE sack become brittle if stored outside?

UV additives that protect HDPE sacks from becoming brittle and splitting under the direct influence of the sun are used during the production process in outdoor sacks.

Q14: Why does HDPE have the advantage of being lightweight?

The sacks are manufactured from a polymer material that is light in weight and does not add to the weight of bulk cargo.

Q15: What is the most efficient way to order a bulk quantity for a commercial enterprise?

In order to get a price at a factory level, one may address our global trading desk to inform about target dimensions of sacks, materials' load limits, printing requests, destinations, etc.
